If I could give you nothing else, I’d plant deeply the gift of stillness in your core. To listen, smell, taste, trace, and observe in silence, processing the vibrations within your being and in relation to this world of beings you share this space with, that escape definition or tangibility, but remain truer than any other things.
A Love Letter: Post-Divorce Family & Place
We hold tightly those hollow spaces serving little more than honoring the feeling that some of our understanding and growth has yet to take shape. It’s a decision over and over to slowly hold the hollow space farther away from your body until it blows off into the wind and is replaced by entirely new nows.
I Said Yes

The numb holiday
What once was, wasn’t any longer. The absence of those I loved was its own entity in the room, thick and heavy, a blanket draped over everything dulling the shine, the mood, and the beauty remaining around me.
Exhaling Attachment
Tethered to a familiar mass, and feeling the rope slip through my desperate grip, I’m aware that fixing my gaze backward will leave me exhausted, emptied. I won’t have these things back, and I’ll lose a little bit of myself in the process.
